Labcoat™ Tablet Coating Systems
The Labcoat™ product line consists of multi-pan laboratory coating systems with interchangeable pans. Our fully-perforated drums with 51% open-area provide maximum air flow and high efficiency heat transfer, resulting in less utility consumption. Fastcoat™ Continuous Tablet Coating Systems
For over fifteen years, O’Hara Technologies has been perfecting our Fastcoat™ Continous tablet coating technology, to the point where we are the global leader in pharmaceutical continuous tablet coating. Our continuous coaters significantly shorten production cycle times and improve productivity, while using less GMP floor space and utilities than traditional batch coaters. The nature of continuous coating requires a shallower tablet bed, which leads to less product damage, and allows tablets to pass under the anti-bearding spray nozzles at a higher frequency. As a result, our customers see markedly improved coating uniformity, often at significantly lower weight gains than traditional batch coating. Our patented technology allows for a wide range of production capacities; we offer equipment designed for 75, 500 and 1200 kilograms per hour nominal throughput rates. O’Hara’s Zero Waste recipe control system allows for every tablet to be coated to your specification, from the first to the last. The coater can also be used as a fully automated batch coater, complete with automatically loading, coating and unloading tablets, giving you the ultimate versatility. Tray Drying Ovens
The compete line of O’Hara tray drying ovens effectively dry pre-mixed wet granulation for further processing into tablets. Other uses for our tray drying ovens include tablet drying and curing. Tray drying ovens provide a much gentler method of drying granulation than other processes, and prevent encapsulation of moisture inside the granules. The ovens are available in a range of sizes to suit your production requirements from 100 to 400 kg.
Each oven is provided with one or multiple rack and transfer cart systems. A single rack holds twenty-four 316L stainless steel trays, each with a capacity of three to five kilograms of wet powder. Perforated trays for increased drying efficiency are also available. The air handling system of the oven has been designed to provide even flow across every tray. Before each oven leaves the factory, it is temperature mapped to ensure consistent temperature across the volume of the oven.

Conventional Coating Pans and Systems
For over 40 years, O’Hara has supplied the pharmaceutical, confectionery, and food industry with the highest quality conventional coating pans on the market. Available in multiple sizes, as stand-alone units or in large multi-pan systems our conventional coating pans can be customized to your requirement. The pans are manufactured or spun in stainless steel and are sanitary in design. Standard or sugar spray nozzles, pumps, powder dosing systems, and air handling systems are also available as options.
Laboratory Fluid Bed Processors
O’Hara offers compact, self-contained, fluidized bed processors which are the optimal equipment for research, formulation development and laboratory facilities. With capacities between one to five kg, they are designed to perform drying, granulation, and top or bottom spray coating. All of our fluid beds are plug-and-play, and are ready to operate once connected to electrical power and compressed air. The standard unit housing is constructed entirely of polished stainless steel.
